I kept uninstalling and reinstalling the printer bfother, but it never worked because the network had to find the hl–l23600w FIRST, and then I needed to re- install the software. The problem is when sending a print job to the printer from a Windows 7 machine, it doesn’t wake up from sleep mode.
Hi there, I know your question is over two years old but I have the same problem! At your side support. After many hours of troubleshooting, 30 minutes on hold with tech support, and 1 hour of handholding, the wonderful Brother tech support guy “TSG” fixed my problem. There must be a setting to let it sleep but wake up on a network connect. My firmware was out of date also. However, on my laptop, it is perennially in sleep mode and I have to go into BR Admin to change the command from Sleep to Ready.
