I’m not using ndiswrapper or any other driver software that doesn’t come with ubuntu out of the box. The normal version uses the good and well-supported Prism 2. The time now is Worked after tweaking settings as described here with Ubuntu Download and compile latest kernel mine 2. Reportedly does not support WPA2. No open source drivers actually.

FL connector is ubumtu and it’s easy to weld a SMA connector. Oh wait, it’s even worse: August 30th, 3. Works great, but limited to 54Mbps. Doesn’t work out of the box with Ubuntu 8.
Dwl-502 sources are GPL, but attached firmware files apparently carry no explicit license. If you decide to replace the card with something a bit more Linux friendly might I suggest something from this list?
